Green hydrogen competitive
Due to the mild temperatures as well as the very high average wind feed-in, daily and weekly contracts on the electricity market fell significantly again last week.
Source: energate Spot prices fell by an average of 25 percent. Due to this development, green hydrogen was again cheaper to produce than in the previous week. The Hydex "Green" fell by 35 euros/MWh (1.17 euros/kg) and was quoted at an average of 132 euros/MWh (4.41 euros/kg). The hydrogen index Hydex is currently still cost-based and refers to the short-term production costs of three different technologies for the production of hydrogen, electrolysis (green), steam reforming with (blue) and without (grey) CO2 storage. It was developed by the consulting firm E-Bridge Consulting and appears weekly in energate's hydrogen briefing. You can also find the current status at: https://www.e-bridge.de |
